ToupTek Calibration Scale TS-M7, glass scale, 100 x 0.01 mm + 100 x 0,1
glass scale, 75 x 25 mm, grid: 100 x 0.01 mm + 100 x 0,1 mm
With the help of this glass scale microscopes with attached USB cameras can be calibrated for the measuring software of the cameras. You must save a calibration value in the software for each magnification level. Since the cameras only display pixels of an indefinite size, the software needs to know how many pixels correspond to which length in mm or inches.
In the calibration settings of the measuring software, 2 measuring points are usually entered on a straight line.
These measuring points should be as far apart as possible.
This is where the calibration scale comes into play:
Focus the microscope so that the grid marks on the scale can be seen in focus. Set the measuring points on the scale and then read the distance on the scale. This is then entered in the software as a calibration value.
