Other than any commodoty Lux-Meter this new TM209 is calibrated to the sensitivity of human eyes, so it really tells the true pupil lumen of any light source in the range of 380 to 700 nm
The flux of light received in an unit area of a certain side being shown is popularly known as illumination. The measuring unit in both UK and USA is known as footcandles light, but in Europe it is also known as meter candle light. One foot-candles light is the illumination of light that falls on one side which is one foot away from a one foot candle light and exactly intersecting with the light. 1 Fc = 1 Lm/ft, it is also called Lux. The flux of light being received in each square meter is called the illumination of 1 Lumen.
