Adhesive tape for temperatures up to 260°C
flame retardant, radiation- and chemical-resistant polyimide adhesive tape with thermosetting special silicone adhesive layer. The carrier material (polyimide film) is particularly tear-resistant and dimensionally stable over a wide temperature range up to 260°C. After use, the tape is removable without residue.
METOTAPE K-90 was specially developed for the electronics and solar industries, but is also used in aircraft- and automotive construction, in 3D printing, sublimation printing, glass fiber production and much more.
The inherent physical strength of the material is very well suited for various tasks, e.g. As for covering printed circuit boards before soldering or gilding, anchorage for cables and windings and protection against chemical attack on components, as masking tape of gold contacts, power strips or larger areas before further processing, for coil / capacitor windings, usual masking. The tape has been specially developed for high temperatures, where mechanical, electrical and adhesive properties must be maintained (e.g. in soldering processes, HAL).
Ideal for 3D printing:
In 3D printing, this tape is used to allow better adhesion of prints to the print bed. Due to the mechanical stress of the 3D model to be printed, it may happen that it comes off the print bed and the printout has to be repeated. Misprints are significantly reduced in conjunction with this tape. Due to the high mechanical strength of the film, the surface structure of the print also improves.
The tape has an excellent electrical insulation resistance (up to 13 kV), very high temperature resistance up to 260°C and is resistant to many acids, alkalis and solvents.
