Rewiring the lamp or even remove the existing ballasts is not necessary.
The METOLIGHT-TRF works on almost all non-dimmable electronic and magnetic ballasts also directly to 230V AC.
However tandem wiring and dimming ballasts on must be checked before. It may be that the tube does not light.This LED tube replaces a fluorescent tube with 36 watts - T8 - saves 50% energy at about 10x longer life.
