METOLIGHT LED backlight modules are ideal as backlighting in illuminated and advertising boxes, to build your own Lights, as a photo light in the studio and more.
The module BLM-A50 with the dimensions 480 x 240 mm can be extended by the soldered contact terminals as desired or adapted to predetermined shapes by removing individual LED segments.
Each 48 x 48 mm LED segment can also be individually powered on 24 VDC, as each segment has its own constant current control.
The LEDs have an extremely high color rendering value of CRI Ra> 90, making them ideally suited for all lighting where maximum color fidelity is required.
The efficiency of these LED modules is 100 lm / W, about 10 times more than incandescent lamps and about 1.5 times more than with fluorescent tubes - with much longer durability.
An integrated constant current control per LED segment ensures constant brightness over the entire surface of the module.

We recommend sticking the module on a cooling surface, preferably metal. We generally do not recommend mounting on plastic or wood, as these are very poor heat conductors and the LED modules wear out quickly after a long burning time. The modules have an adhesive film on the back.

Areas of application:
The IP20-rated LED modules may only be used in dry indoor areas or outdoors in IP65 to IP68-protected light boxes for general decorative lighting. Areas of application include backlighting in illuminated and advertising boxes, light cubes, architectural effect lighting, DIY luminaires, in film and photo studios, in cabinets, shelves, showcases, sales counters, backlighting of images, mirrors, partitions, indirect lighting in ceilings and much more.

The BLM-A50 series LED modules are available in 3000K (warm white), 4000K (neutral white), 6000K (cool white), red (620-630 nm), yellow (585-595 nm), blue (450-470 nm)

Installation:
We recommend gluing on aluminum sheets to ensure optimum heat dissipation. Sticking to wood or other heat-insulating surfaces leads to heat accumulation and thus shortened durability of the LEDs.

Electrical connection:
The LED modules must be connected to a stabilized power supply with 24 V DC output voltage, optionally also to corresponding batteries or rechargeable batteries. Please pay attention to the correct polarity, labeled at the terminals. The use of cheap, unstabilized power supplies can damage the LED modules, since such power supplies usually deliver a significantly higher output voltage (depending on the connected load). Make sure that the power supplies can deliver about 20% more continuous power than the total power of all connected LED modules. When connecting several LED modules to a large area, we recommend connecting each additional module in parallel with the power supply via one of the existing connection terminals in order to prevent overloading of the conductor tracks.
