LED-Tube-E-Ballast

As early as 2011 Asmetec Technik developed LED tubes that could be operated directly on electronic ballasts. We called this version TRF - True Retro Fit. For this technical innovation, Asmetec was awarded first prize by the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Economic Affairs in 2012.

METOLIGHT LED Tubes Series TRF - True RetroFit - for direct installation in luminaires with ECG, CCG or LLB

The 4th generation LED tube, developed by ASMETEC, was awarded the Innovation Prize 2012 by the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Rhineland-Palatinate. These LED tubes are universally interchangeable with conventional fluorescent tubes. Regardless of whether a conventional ballast with starter or an electronic ballast is installed in the luminaire: METOLIGHT TRF can be inserted into the luminaire without rewiring - all certifications of the luminaire are retained. Of course, these LED tubes also comply with all current safety regulations. They can be connected to any one of the 4 contacts - the free contacts are voltage-free - no risk of electric shock!
Before changing the tubes, however, the luminaire must be switched off in order to avoid voltage flashovers by the ECG. These LED tubes are only conditionally suitable for tandem switching and overaged ECGs. Here we recommend to perform a previous test.

Important notice: unlike some of our competitors' products (even with very well-known brands) our LED tubes TRF do not only work on CCG, LLB and ECG but also directly on 230 volts. If the ECG in your luminaire should fail, it does not have to be replaced but only removed by a specialist. The LED tube still works! The brightness of the LED tube is largely determined by the output of the ECG. We do not recommend operating our LED tubes on no-name ECGs! Incorrect ECGs can significantly increase power consumption and damage the LED tubes.
