Face Masks

Aerosols and particulate matter are among the most insidious health risks in the work environment, they are almost invisible in the air we breathe. Particle filtering half masks offer protection against such dangers.
They are divided into three protection classes: FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3. Marking FF (Filtering Facemask) before P1, P2, P3 indicates one-way masks. The degree of permeability of the filter material is specified (how well are particles removed from the breathing air?).
• FFP1: permeability 20% for solid and liquid particles - protection against non-toxic and non-fibrogenic dusts
• FFP2: permeability 6% for solid and liquid particles - protection against solid or liquid harmful dusts, smoke and aerosols
• FFP3: permeability 3% for solid and 1% for liquid particles - protection against toxic, health-damaging dust, smoke and aerosols
